We are hoping to hire at least 10-12 guards for next summer for the pool season. Guards must be 15 years old on the last day of the American Red Cross certification class that they are required to take. The pool season runs from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day.
Guards must be able to work at least 20 hours a week between the hours of 10 am – 9 pm (in shifts of 4-5 hours at a time), in order to be hired.
If you or your child is interested in lifeguarding and have gone through the proper certification, please contact Michelle Jarc at runrenee@hotmail.com anytime before May. There are several classes offered from now until the end May. Look for classes over Christmas or spring break at Lakewood High School Pool. You might also check North Olmsted Recreation Center, as they have offered classes in the past.
