Cabana Updates to Share

The park and pool team has been hard at work this spring planning and executing some important updates to our cabana. In addition to all the regular maintenance we do to keep the pool open and functioning, we have been planning a few big updates that you should see in the next few weeks.

One of these projects finished up this week, and we’re happy to share the big update!

The cabana has been a haven for critters over the last few years, and despite our best efforts to seal up the building, they found a way in. This year, a family of raccoons took shelter above the lifeguard room – and thought they didn’t do much damage, the smell can be a little less than awesome. So – it was decided that it was time to call in the professionals.

A crew came in to rip out the old soffits and fascia board around the perimeter of the building, and replaced it with breathable vinyl. They also replaced the gutters and downspouts. A part of the update was the underside of the cabana’s covered space, where many of our parties take place throughout the summer.

This update was much a much needed facelift – in addition to helping critter-proof the cabana for the following year. The lights in the covered area have also been updated, and look really great!

More to come for sure on bathrooms, lighting, and more…stay tuned for more as we get the season going – now all we need is some sunny and clear weather!

Thanks for all the support from neighbors and friends – if you are interested in helping in any way, please feel free to reach out to the board via email: board@brettonridge.com!
