Some pool access questions

Opening day for the pool! What a beautiful day! So glad to see so many faces enjoying our amazing facility. As long as the weather holds, the pool will be open the remainder of the weekend, hope to see you there!

One question came up a few times today I thought I could clarify. The question was; when a home in Bretton Ridge purchases a pool pass, who is covered under that pass? This is simple.

Find the answer by asking two questions in return. First, is this person a member of your immediate family? If yes, then they are included in your family pass. If no, next ask; does this person live in your house as a permanent resident? If yes, then they count. If you answered no to either of these questions, then these people are considered guests.

cropped-br-icon.gifThere are many scenarios where this is true. Maybe extended family comes in from out of town (cousins), or adults babysit additional kids, or families hire a caregiver/nanny for the summer. In all of these scenarios, the visitor(s) would be considered a guest. Each visitor would need to pay $4 each time they use the pool, or buy a guest pass that includes 10 visits.

There have been a few times in the past where one resident would bring another resident as a guest. This is also not allowed. If you are a Bretton Ridge resident, and you wish to use the pool, you need to pay either full dues or senior dues (seniors only). Guests must be non-residents. Bretton Ridge residents must have dues paid in order to use the pool.

Bretton Ridge residents should not be considered guests in any pool use scenario.

Access to the pool is reserved for homeowners who have paid full dues or senior dues, their immediate families, and their guests. Each guest is required to pay guest rates for a day ($4) and will receive a wristband identifying them as a guest for the day. Guests may also be included in party rentals, but will also pay access fees as a part of the facility rental.

If you have questions about access, please feel free to contact members of the board as listed on the right. If you would like to pay your dues online, please use the link at the top-right of this page – thank you in advance!

See you at the pool!
