Document Request Policy – Board Procedural Update

At the most recent board meetings, one of the topics of ongoing discussion was how to best respond to homeowners who request an excessive amount of information from board members. In an effort to properly guide a response, and produce a workflow that is efficient and serves the need to be forthcoming with information that belongs to the neighborhood, the board and our legal counsel developed the following procedural document for requesting documentation.

It has been our effort to be as open and forthcoming with the history and finances of this organization, and it will continue to be so going forward. However, to make sure that individual board members are not unjustly burdened with excessive requests, we decided some reasonable limits should be put in place.
