Legal Docs Vote Update

Thank you for those who voted by proxy and/or attended the voting meeting on March 4. A representative from Ott & Associates attended and addressed many questions and concerns. A video is posted on the Bretton Ridge Facebook page.

The vote has been adjourned until August 8, 2019. The decision to extend the vote was due to lack of votes received, on both sides. The Board, and everyone in attendance at the March 4th meeting unanimously agreed to the adjournment.

All proxies received to date on the Proposed Amended and Restated Declaration and Code of Regulations, distributed to all Owners of Record in January 2019, will remain valid until the August 8, 2019 voting meeting. If you have not yet voted, PLEASE mail in your proxy vote. Replacement proxy ballots can be downloaded from our website or Facebook page, or contact a Board member.

A few homeowners expressed concern regarding signing the limited power of attorney on the proxy ballot. The power of attorney on the proxy is a limited power of attorney only valid for the voting on the Proposed Amended and Restated Declaration and Code of Regulations distributed to all Owners of Record in January 2019. If any new changes are made to the documents, the proxy would become invalid, and a new power of attorney would need to be signed. In addition, a homeowner may rescind the power of attorney at any time by contacting a board member or even by just showing up at the voting meeting and asking for it back.

The Board does plan to have at least one additional informational meeting, and perhaps more, if there is interest. We need everyone to participate in this vote – so please send your proxy ballot in as soon as possible. Please feel free to contact any Board Member with any questions or concerns.
