Annual Meeting and Elections for 2021

Due to COVID-19 restrictions on public meetings and gatherings, this year’s annual meeting in February will be done online only. This online option will hopefully allow for a larger audience than an in-person meeting. This year, like years past, we will be reviewing projects past and present, we will review financials, and also conduct the board elections for 2021.

Here are the details for the meeting – online only, February 11, 2021 at 7pm. Homeowners can log on to the meeting here: http://bit.ly/3bwyMxk. Or connect to Zoom and use Meeting ID: 993 7180 8826  and Passcode: e8Bkhf if prompted. The meeting ‘waiting room’ will open at 6:45. Please connect as soon after 6:45 as possible to expedite attendance.

As homeowners connect to the meeting, Matt (board secretary) and Carolyn (board membership) will verify names and addresses so that only Bretton Ridge residents will be allowed to join. *Please be sure that your Zoom user name is your real first name and last name – not just a first name or username*

The meeting will begin officially at 7pm.

When the presentation is completed, there will be time for questions and answers from attendees. After the Q&A is completed, we will conduct board elections for the 2021 year. Since we will be meeting electronically, we will also have to conduct elections electronically. This is only being done electronically due to in-person meeting restrictions. Meeting attendees will be given a link to complete an electronic ballot – AT THE MEETING using the Zoom chat box feature. Again, this is only being done due to COVID-19 restrictions, and is not normal operating procedure.

After the election results are tallied, we will announce the board of trustees for 2021, and conclude the meeting.

Any homeowner in Bretton Ridge (with no dues in arrears) is eligible to run for a board position. If you are interested in running for a board position, please contact the current board secretary before February 4, 2021. A simple note of intent to run is sufficient. However, the note of intent needs to be accompanied by 6 signatures of endorsement from Bretton Ridge adult residents. Once those two pieces are complete, send your letter to Matt Skvasik – mskvasik@gmail.com – BEFORE FEBRUARY 4, 2021.

Thank you to our 2020 board members – and we look forward to a great 2021!
